Casting Time: 10 Minutes
Range: Touch
Duration: Instantaneous
Write or draw on a blank piece of parchment, no larger than 6 by 9 inches, as you cast this spell. When you finish, speak the name of a creature with whom you have spoken previously. The parchment vanishes in a puff of smoke, leaving behind anything that was affixed to it. The spell fails if the target creature is on another plane of existence or shielded from Divination magic in any way.
When the target creature next completes a Long Rest, they will wake to see the parchment neatly placed somewhere within 5 feet of them. The parchment will have been neatly folded and inserted into an envelope that has been inscribed with the names of both you and the target creature, written in beautiful calligraphy. The envelope will be sealed with dark green wax, bearing an imprinted image of a downward-pointing crescent moon containing a cat's pupil. Arcane scholars have never been able to determine what or who this symbol might represent.
