Plant Shape

You magically assume the form of a non-magical plant that you have seen before. You decide what you look like, including your general shape, coloration, and distinguishing characteristics. Any equipment you are carrying merges into your form and cannot be used, though passive benefits still apply. At any time for the duration of the spell, you can use your action to change your appearance in this way again.

Assume the statistics of an Awakened Shrub, with the following changes:

While in this form you cannot interact with objects or speak, but you can still hear. You stay in this form for a number of hours equal to the level of the spell slot used to cast this spell. The effect ends early if you cast a spell, lose your concentration, have the Incapacitated condition, take any damage, or die. You can also leave the form early as a bonus action.

Photosynthesis.

If you spend a short rest outdoors while you are in this form and it is brightly lit, you may benefit from photosynthesis. For any hit dice you spend to heal during the short rest, roll twice and use the higher value.

Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot.

You can remain in plant form for a number of hours equal to the level of the spell slot used to cast this spell. Additionally, when you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher you may assume the shape of a plant one size larger or smaller than you.
